About me
Hello! I’m Rachael, the founder of Rachael’s Buns. I’m a keen baker who properly got stuck into baking during lockdown 2020, though I’ve always had a love for it. What began as a creative outlet has grown into a real passion—especially when it comes creating all things fondant and bespoke cakes that not only look the part but taste delicious too. I get a real buzz from turning people’s ideas into edible creations, though it’s not always plain sailing. I created this blog to show you it’s not all rainbows and butterflies and for every cake I share on social media there’s perhaps one or two that didn’t quite make it. I want to encourage people to have a go and don’t be put off by what they see on social media… and that with a bit of practice you’ll be able to create amazing bakes!
Aside from baking, I’m also a practising chartered accountant who loves a spreadsheet. For those bakers who have decided to set up as a business or those thinking about it, I want to empower you to start charging your worth and to help you become profit making, which sometimes feels more difficult than it should be in cake making.
